Lotte World Magic Pass: Is Premium Worth It? Prices, Sale Times & What It Doesn’t Include

Research checked: September 12, 2026

Lotte World Magic Pass Premium is not your Lotte World admission ticket, and it is definitely not an unlimited express pass.

It is a separate ₩80,000 add-on that gives one person five uses of designated Magic Pass priority queues. For the right visitor, that can save a meaningful amount of time. For everyone else, it can become an expensive way to discover that you did not actually need five priority rides.

Visitors inside Lotte World Adventure planning which rides to use with Magic Pass Premium

The one thing I would check before anything else is the current attraction list inside the official Lotte World Adventure app. The eligible ride list can change, and paying for “Premium” does not mean every ride in the park suddenly becomes a fast-track ride.

JAY’s quick answer

I would buy Premium only if I could name five eligible rides I genuinely cared about, at least two or three usually had queues I would hate waiting in, and one cheaper Standard tier could not cover the same wishlist. Premium costs ₩15,000 more than Standard A or B, but it does not give you more than five uses.

Lotte World Magic Pass Premium: should you actually buy it?

Your plan My choice Why
Weekend, holiday or school-break visit with five serious ride priorities Premium can make sense You are buying time and more flexibility across eligible rides.
All your must-do rides fit one Standard A or B list Buy Standard instead Still five uses, but ₩15,000 less per person.
Quiet weekday, early arrival and flexible ride plan Usually skip it You may not save enough queue time to justify the price.
After4 visit Be cautious There is less time to use five slots, especially if outdoor rides are disrupted.
Your main target is excluded from Magic Pass Do not buy it for that ride Premium does not override the exclusion list.

Premium makes the most sense to me for adults or older teens who are genuinely building the day around rides. If your group cares just as much about food, photos, parades, character stops, shopping or slower family attractions, I would think twice before automatically adding ₩80,000 per person.

Also remember that height, health and safety restrictions still apply. A ride should not count toward your “five must-dos” unless everyone in your group can and actually wants to ride it.

Magic Pass prices in 2026

All four standard Magic Pass products currently give five uses. The main difference is which attractions each ticket type can be used for.

Pass Official price Cost per use if all 5 are used
Light₩54,000₩10,800
Standard A₩65,000₩13,000
Standard B₩65,000₩13,000
Premium₩80,000₩16,000

Magic Pass does not include admission. You still need a valid Lotte World admission product.

There are currently different regular admission products, so this is where online price comparisons can become confusing. The regular adult 1 Day ticket is ₩67,000 and includes Lotte World Adventure plus the Folk Museum. A separate adult Park Admission ticket is ₩64,000 and covers the park and rides without the Folk Museum benefit. Adult After4 prices are ₩55,000 and ₩52,000 respectively.

That means a regular adult full-day visit with Premium can be roughly ₩144,000 to ₩147,000 before food, lockers, transport, shopping or other paid experiences, depending on which admission product you buy.

The question I would ask

Not “Is Premium the best pass?” but “What am I getting for ₩15,000 more than Standard?” If the answer is only the word Premium, keep your money.

Travelers comparing Lotte World Magic Pass options before choosing priority rides

Premium vs Light vs Standard A vs Standard B

I would not memorize a ride list from a blog post, including this one.

Lotte World specifically tells buyers to check the attractions available for the exact ticket type before purchasing. That is the right approach because attraction operation and Magic Pass eligibility can change.

Before buying, write down your five actual priorities and compare them against the current Light, Standard A, Standard B and Premium lists in the official app.

Then ask yourself:

  • Are all five rides eligible for the pass I am considering?
  • Would I actually use a priority line for at least two or three of them?
  • Can Standard A or B already cover the rides that matter to me?

If one Standard tier covers your real wishlist, I would take the ₩15,000 saving and move on.

Do not build the list around an imaginary perfect theme-park day either. You will eat, take photos, walk between Adventure and Magic Island, stop for breaks and probably change your mind about at least one ride.

A five-use pass is good value when you have five real priorities. It is poor value when rides four and five become “whatever is nearby because I already paid for it.”

Traveler checking the Lotte World app before choosing Magic Pass rides

When does Magic Pass Premium go on sale?

Magic Pass is sold through the official Lotte World Adventure app. It is a limited-quantity product and can sell out early.

What Lotte World does not publish is a reliable daily sell-out time. So I would ignore posts that claim Premium “always sells out at exactly this time.” The opening time is official. The sell-out time is not.

Purchase route Official opening
Premium advance reservation 12:00 a.m. KST two days before your visit
Premium advance booking closes 11:59 p.m. KST one day before the visit, unless sold out first
Same-day Light / Standard A / Standard B / Premium 8:30 a.m. KST on the visit date
Additional same-day inventory Timing and quantity may change with on-site conditions

For example, if you are visiting on Monday, September 14, 2026, Premium advance booking opens at midnight on Saturday, September 12.

What I would do

If Premium matters to my trip, I would already be logged in before midnight Korea time two days before the visit. I would not wait until I arrived at Jamsil and then start downloading the app.

There are also purchase limits worth knowing. Lotte World currently limits Magic Pass purchases to up to four tickets per person for the same use date. Tickets are intended for the actual users and cannot simply be split among different people later.

The official rules also restrict additional purchases on different reservation dates when you have already purchased a pass within the relevant three-day period, so groups planning multiple Lotte World days should read the purchase rules carefully instead of assuming they can repeatedly buy new passes.

What Magic Pass Premium does not include

Do not buy on assumptions

Premium does not include park admission, unlimited fast-track access, every ride in Lotte World or separately ticketed attractions around the wider Lotte complex.

  • Park admission. You still need a valid Full-Day, Park Admission or annual-pass product.
  • Unlimited queue skipping. Premium is five uses only, and the dedicated line itself can still have a wait.
  • Unlimited repeat rides. Atlantis, Comet Express, French Revolution, Flume Ride and The Fury of the Pharaoh can each be used with Magic Pass only once per person.
  • KONGxGODZILLA THE RIDE. It is currently excluded from Magic Pass.
  • Paid facilities. Lotty Train, experience play shops, paid arcades, Tomb of Horror, Moon Boat and similar paid facilities are excluded.
  • Other Jamsil attractions. Magic Pass is not admission for Seoul Sky, Lotte World Aquarium or the ice rink.

It also does not guarantee that a ride will operate. Safety inspections, temporary suspensions, queue closures, weather and rider restrictions always take priority.

I would think of Magic Pass as a time-management tool, not a guarantee that your perfect five-ride plan will happen exactly as expected.

Weather and refunds: the part I would read before paying

Magic Island is outdoors, so rain, wind and temporary weather restrictions matter if your wishlist is built around outdoor thrill rides.

Lotte World’s indoor Adventure area makes the park more weather-resilient than a completely outdoor theme park. It does not make your ₩80,000 Premium purchase weather-proof.

Purchase Current cancellation rule
Advance-reserved Premium Cancellation allowed until 11:30 p.m. the day before the visit
Same-day purchase within 2 hours 100% refund available
Same-day purchase after 2 hours 100% cancellation penalty
Day of use / unused pass No refund under the published rules

Unexpected maintenance or bad-weather delays do not automatically create a refund right. That is why I would be especially careful with Premium on a questionable weather day.

The ticket is also user-specific. You cannot buy one five-use pass and give one ride to five different people. Purchased app tickets cannot be gifted, divided between users or converted into paper tickets.

Foreign visitors: official Premium vs a Klook Magic Pass 3 package

Foreign visitors can use the official Lotte World app route, but I would download the app and test the setup before the sale window rather than discovering a payment or account problem at midnight.

The official rules require the app and a smartphone with a working camera because QR scanning is used at attractions. If your mobile data setup is not ready yet, our guide to Korea eSIMs, SIM cards and pocket WiFi covers the main options.

Another option for overseas visitors

Klook currently lists a Lotte World Day Pass & Folk Museum + Magic Pass 3 package. This is not the same product as the official ₩80,000 Magic Pass Premium. It includes three fast-track uses rather than five, so compare the exact package terms and eligible rides before booking.

It can still be useful if you want admission and a smaller fast-track benefit in one foreigner-friendly booking instead of chasing the official Premium sale window.

One important detail: Klook also states that KONG x GODZILLA THE RIDE is not included in its Magic Pass 3. Again, never assume a third-party product has the same ride rules as official Premium.

Plan the day around your priorities, not around the pass

First choose your visit date. Then check the operating calendar, ride closures and weather.

Before the sale window opens, make your five-ride shortlist. On the morning of the visit, check the operating status again.

If the weather is good and one of your top priorities is outdoors, I would deal with that early rather than saving it for late afternoon and hoping conditions stay perfect.

And do not cross the whole park purely because a ride appears on your list. Check that it is operating and that the queue is still accepting guests first.

Lotte World Adventure is at 240 Olympic-ro, Songpa-gu, beside Jamsil Station on Subway Lines 2 and 8.

If you are deciding where to stay, see our guide to where to stay in Seoul by neighborhood. If your trip also includes a concert, our Seoul K-pop concert hotel guide covers Jamsil, KSPO Dome, Gocheok and COEX.

If you are still deciding between Seoul’s two major theme parks, our guide to getting from Seoul to Everland is also worth reading before you pay for non-refundable add-ons.

A two-minute decision before you buy

I would buy Premium if:
  • I have five real eligible priorities.
  • Several are rides where queue time matters to me.
  • One cheaper Standard tier cannot cover the same wishlist.
  • I am comfortable spending ₩80,000 per person on top of admission.
I would skip Premium if:
  • I cannot name five rides I genuinely care about.
  • I am visiting After4 and have a relaxed plan.
  • My priorities fit Standard A or Standard B.
  • Outdoor ride closures would ruin the value for me.
JAY’s final take

Magic Pass Premium is worth paying for when you already know exactly what you want to do with it. Do not buy it first and figure out the rides later. Check the live attraction list, choose your five priorities, compare Standard, and then decide whether the extra ₩15,000 is buying you real flexibility. The word “Premium” by itself is not a reason to spend more.
